Ondoy assailed and distraught several places in the country






Subsequent to an overnight rains brought by super typhoon Ondoy, that flooded numerous houses around Metro Manila and several vicinity of Luzon. President Arroyo impelled to organize complete mobilization of National Disaster Coordinating Council (NDCC) and a close up supervising of the condition.

According to the Philippine Atmospheric Geo-Physical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) Typhoon Ondoy was the most horrible flood that Metro Manila had experience.

The majority of people were stranded when Typhoon Ondoy overrun this is due to unremitting heavy rain which causes flood around affected areas. Policemen and Soldiers are instructed to deploy in some areas in Metro Manila and various in close proximity provinces to help out commuters and residents who been trapped by means of floods.

Public signal no. 2 was heaved over, Tarlac, Pampanga, Bulacan, Zambales, Rizal, Nueva Ecija and Northern Luzon, whereas La union , Benguet, Laguna, Cavite, Quirino, Nueva Viscaya, Aurora, Batangas, Bataan, some areas in Quezon including Polilio Island and Metro Manila were stated signal no. 1. Because of the heavy rains, the water in two dams has a propensity to ascend endlessly which added the level of flood.

Added to this, Commission on Higher Education (CHED) suspends the classes on all levels due to Typhoon Ondoy and the fury that it brought to us.

Ondoy certainly left the country wholly distraught. It also brought wreckage to University of Perpetual Help- Laguna (UPSHL) that causes immense damage to the school. Some of the school offices were submerged into floodwaters.

At present the school is on the road to recovery from the school’s corollary with the persistent hard work of upgrading the whole school community.
